Description

LOWER returns the lower-cased version of a string.

Supported input column types: STRING

Output column type: STRING

Unicode support: The following characters are supported by LOWER:

• The characters in the range A-Z are converted to a-z.
• The character Ä is converted to ä.
• The character Ö is converted to ö.
• The character Ü is converted to ü.

Syntax

LOWER ( table.column )

NULL handling

If the value is NULL, the result is NULL as well.
